Mike and Sarah go though the front door. There was a suspicious creek when they opened the door. After they both stepped in the house the door shut by itself. Then they both felt something furry on their legs. They looked down and realized that it was a black cat. Out of the blue the cat disappeared.
The kids were in shock when they heard knocking from the basement and footsteps from up stairs. They tried to run away but Mike got stuck in a hole in the floor. When they got him out they decided to keep exploring.
They went down a long hall. They opened a door at the end of the hall. It was completely empty. They took their backpacks off and then they heard a voice from above. The voice said '' Leave me and my room alone!'' '' Is it a ghost?'' asked Sarah. '' I don't know.'' replied Mike. They heard the voice again. Run!!! They stopped at the front room. '' Where should we go? Up stairs or go to the basement?
